Before & After: Microcement Bathroom Transformation

Microcement is quickly becoming one of the most popular finishes for bathroom renovations, and for good reason.
In this project, San Marco Group transformed a dated, tiled bathroom into a clean, seamless space using Microcement; without removing the existing tiles.
The original bathroom featured:
Outdated tiles
Visible grout lines
A busy, segmented look
While still functional, the space felt tired and lacked the modern, cohesive finish many homeowners are now looking for.
One of the biggest advantages of Microcement is that it can be applied directly over existing surfaces.
For this project, we:
Prepared and cleaned the tiled substrate
Applied the Microcement system over the tiles
Built up layers to create a consistent, seamless finish
Sealed the surface for durability and water resistance
This approach saves time, reduces demolition, and avoids the cost of removing tiles.
The finished result is a completely transformed space:
Seamless surfaces with no grout lines
A clean, modern aesthetic
A durable, water-resistant finish suitable for wet areas
The bathroom now feels larger, more refined, and far more contemporary.
Microcement is ideal for bathroom renovations because it offers:
Seamless application — no grout lines
Ability to go over tiles — no need for demolition
Water resistance when properly sealed
Versatility across walls, floors, and even vanities
A modern, minimalist finish
